The Kaffe Klatsch Bistro in the Denman Village is well known locally for excellent food and a warm and friendly atmosphere. This beloved downtown meeting place is also a gallery space for local artists. The gallery on the Bistro walls changes monthly, and features a truly diverse selection of Denman talent, from avant garde photography to political pen and ink illustrations to masterful watercolours of local landscapes. Part of the Bistro Gallery’s mandate is to feature young and emerging island artists.

The Bistro is also open Thursday evenings for live music and delicious food! Owner Jenny says “Our goal is to fill in the gaps of of live music on Thursday nights to compliment the Open Stage event every third Thursday of the month. Therefore we will be open the Thursdays that there is no Open Stage, just to confuse you even more.  We will lure you in with a changing theme of our delectable menu each Thursday evening and try to accommodate groups by providing platters for groups of two or four or more! This makes it cost effective, delicious and delightful. We will fill your tummies and then fill your ears with live performances by Denman talent as well as off Island talent, hoping to merge the two and just see what happens?!”

Hours for Thursday evenings will be 6pm-9pm, kitchen open from 6pm-8:30pm
