Arts Denman
Arts Denman was founded as a non-profit society in 1985, and is a registered charity. We encourage and support Arts activities and education on the island. A heritage renovated house “at the top of the first hill” in the business core is The Arts Centre. It is rented out as a workshop area, artist gallery, space for weekly group painting sessions, evening films, and as a comfortable meeting space. The volunteer board, and numerous committees, also meet here to plan events throughout the community that include art gallery shows, music & dance concerts, and the annual Readers & Writers Festival in July.

Our Mission Statement
To foster the development of cultural activities and facilities for Denman Island and the surrounding area.
To provide gallery and performance space for Denman Island artists and artisans.
To develop educational programs and facilities on Denman Island for the arts, crafts, and sciences.
Our Committees
The three committees of Arts Denman are responsible for a number of important cultural events throughout the year on Denman Island. Our Committees are:

- The Annual Readers and Writers Festival

Help support the Arts on Denman Island. Membership fees are only $10.00 a year and proceeds go to providing Arts Bursaries for Denman Island residents. Benefits of membership include discounts on Arts Denman sponsored workshops. If you are already an Arts Denman member, renew your membership now.
